Why did I choose the name ‘Accanto Counselling?’
I chose it because translated from Italian it means: ‘beside’ or ‘next to’
For me, this says everything about what Counselling is about. Just simply being ‘next to or beside’ so that I am in the best position to see your World through your eyes
How long will it take for me to feel better?
The answer is that everybody is unique. Entering into therapy can literally change your life and your perspective and that involves change. Change can be both exciting and challenging and for those around you. Some people prefer short term Counselling, others prefer a longer term approach. Rather than setting a time limit on feeling better it is about reaching a new awareness of yourself and how you interact with those around you. It is about getting to know your ‘real’ self, and loving that self so that you can view things differently and this is a process of evolving
How Many Sessions Will I Need?
My Counselling is open ended, but the decision to re book and return each week is absolutely up to you
How much will it cost, and how do I pay?
My fee is £45 per hour for one-to-one therapy

• Credit Card
• Bank Transfer (only if paying in advance)
A deposit of £15.00 is payable with the initial session fee and will be returned to you at your final session.
If you are paying the lower session fee the deposit will be £10.00
Are there concessionary rates available?
I take a couple of clients at a time on concessionary rates. These sessions are at the rate of £30 per session and offered to people who have a genuine need to pay at a much lower rate. If you feel this could help you, please ask if a place is available when ﬁrst contacting
What type of Counselling do you practice?
I am an Integrative Counsellor and draw on various areas of Counselling, namely:
• Person Centred
• Cognitive Behavioural Therapy
My areas of interest cover the Inner Child, Trauma and Abuse, Depression and Anxiety. I also work creatively where required, using Sand Tray, Art, Cards, Dolls, Visualisations, Mindfulness and Meditations.
